Working Together on the Use of Recyclable Packaging

As a partner in the recyclate initiative of Werner & Mertz, Siegwerk is working proactively on developing inks for sustainable and recyclable packaging. Running projects were presented together at this year’s PLMA, the “World of Private Label”, in Amsterdam.

Siegburg – On May 21 – 22, Siegwerk, one of the world’s leading providers of printing inks for packaging applications and labels, presented its newest development project as part of the recyclate initiative of Werner & Mertz at this year’s international PLMA trade show, the “World of Private Label,” in Amsterdam. Together with the other partners of the recyclate initiative: Mondi, Der Grüne Punkt, and ALPLA, Siegwerk used this trade show as a way to demonstrate the possibilities of a more effective recycling system and visualize mutual engagement in the development of sustainable and recyclable packaging solutions in more detail.

At the world’s largest trade show for private brands, which is organized annually by the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA), around 2,600 manufacturers, retailers, and wholesalers present their products and innovations in the food and non-food area to around 15,000 international trade visitors.
