US DoC looks into thermal paper imports

The US Department of Commerce (DoC) has launched anti-dumping investigations into deliveries of thermal paper from Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Spain.

The US authority says it received petitions for anti-dumping tariffs from two domestic producers of thermal paper – Appvion Operations, Inc. and Domtar Corp. – on 7 October 2020. According to the department, the two companies claim that imports of thermal paper from Germany, Japan, Korea and Spain are being sold or are likely to be sold at less than fair value in the United States.
