Switching from product to corporate communication. Engaging the supply chain to create a community of shared values and interests. And focusing on the future direction of the sector, in a constant innovation process. All of this as a way to provide increasingly effective services to all associates.
This is the focus of Acimga’s speech, “Shifting communication, a tool for our companies” which went live in streaming on November 17th at drupa preview.
Andrea Briganti, General Manager of Acimga and Federazione Carta e Grafica, begun with the vision and mission of the association, emphasizing how Acimga (Italian manufacturers association of machinery for the graphic, converting and paper industry) represents all printing technologies, also through the creation of specialization groups, and the ability to connect through a network of partners and associations aiming to further collaborate with the international supply chain. In this approach, communication plays a crucial role: a work that consists in becoming a voice for all members (advocacy), in building relationships and content, brand identities and innovative strategies. All around three main themes representing the future guidelines and challenges of the industry: sustainability, industry 4.0 and servitisation.
Gwyn Garrett, Acimga’s international account, illustrated how the association’s communication developed through a series of internationalization activities: Print4All Conference – Future Factory in June (over 1300 registrations), as well as the international Streaming Roadshows by Acimga, (on 10th and 16th December the last two Roadshows events respectively in Egypt and Algeria). A video on these events (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FCaSGnmeyA) was shown to accompany the story. A consideration by Briganti, arising from a question from the audience, on the future of trade fairs closed Acimga’s speech.
“We wanted to use the opportunity of drupa preview – explains Andrea Briganti – to illustrate our strategy which is closely linked to the services we offer our members and the entire industry. We will continue along this path with the Streaming Roadshows by Acimga, which, after the first two events in Turkey and the United Kingdom will stop in Egypt and Algeria. Events that will be a bridge the next Print4All Conference edition in the spring of 2021. An advocacy and communication activity that shows the strengths of the “Made by Italy” outside our borders and aims at boosting the dialogue between international supply chain players and the foreign markets, that is all the more important in the current times”.
