Different type of printing to be done at Gazette building

Franchise operation can print almost anything on almost anything

A new graphic display company is setting up shop in The Daily Gazette’s building on Maxon Road Extension.

Image360 is a franchise operation owned by the shareholders who own the newspaper. Its president is Gazette Publisher John DeAugustine and its general manager is former Gazette retail advertising manager Gary LaBelle.

The new printing venture also is connected to The Gazette by the fundamentally similar nature of what they do — but they are separate businesses.

“Image360 is just our next step to diversification,” DeAugustine said, explaining a strategy for the 125-year-old news company to weather economic and technological changes to continue publishing another 125 years.
