COVID-19: US to pay USD 1bn for potential COVID-19 vaccine

The United States government will pay drugmaker Johnson & Johnson in excess of USD 1bn for 100 million doses of its potential coronavirus vaccine, as reported by Media Corp News.

J&J is currently assessing both one and two-dose regimes for the vaccine, with the US government looking into the option of an additional 200 million doses under a subsequent agreement.
